I never realized that the Little House books were classified as fiction. Wilder tried for accuracy and achieved it, but she did change some things. For example, she left out her family's first move to Kansas; also, her nemesis, Nellie Olsen, was a composite of three girls she had known. Many of the annotations are interesting in verifying or expanding on what Wilder wrote.
